So you stabbed a dragon in the butt, despite it CLEARLY being a bad idea.

Risks must be taken for the advancement of knowledge. I am sure that all great figures have had their own dragon rears to assault on the way to fame… figuratively speaking, of course.

Laila Law-Giver is your true love! Forget dragons!

The Jarl of Riften? Oh, please. Her incompetence in regards to keeping her own Hold in line is widely known, and her allegiance to Ulfric only increases my disdain towards her.

Before you die, if there anyplace you'd like to visit?

I would say Alinor, if only there was not so much tension between the Altmer and my own people.

It's time Farengar. Lord Sheogorath calls...
finiteeternity asked

Do you honestly believe me to be the kind of fool who would worship such foul tricksters? I am a Nord of science and reason. A daedra of madness and incoherence is definitely the last figure I would choose to worship.

"One of such local “adventurers” once brought me a tablet etched in the Dragon tongue… that was still being clutched by a skeletal limb. The damn thing managed to run away from me when I attempted to dispose of it, and then caused quite a stir when took a “liking” to Irileth." ...Exactly what happened? We wanna know!

Let’s just say that even in death, my people are rather… direct in their advances. Irileth did not take kindly to being groped by the eager hand of a Nord who has known nothing but the grave for many hundreds of years.

Dear Farengar, why didn't you just ask me to get samples from Odahviing? I'm sure he wouldn't have gotten as angry if I collected them for you!
Anonymous asked

You do not understand - I require very specific samples, mainly of the scales lining a dragon’s underside. My research has found that most songs and tales of ancient battles result in the archtypical Nord hero piercing through the weaker plating that covers a dragon’s abdomen. If their undersides are indeed susceptible to piercing blows then the Jarl’s bowmen can have an advantage in the case of invasion.

How goes the research?

As frustrating as always, I’m afraid to admit - I find nothing but superstition and exaggerated falsehoods in my search for the truth. “Adventurers” of all calibers strive to make a quick Septim by unloading their ill-gotten gains from the tombs of my ancestors, most of which are little more than crumbling knick-nacks and curiosities.

Oh, absolutely! Any and all artifacts or remains are always vastly appreciated. Here, I believe I have some spare healing potions for your troubles.

You seem very quiet lately Farengar....
ask-jarlbalgruffthegreater asked

I apologize, my Jarl. I have been especially absorbed in my studies as of late and I lack time to even catch my breath, let alone give visitors to Dragonsreach the attention they so desperately crave. To be fully honest, I have turned the vast majority of your guests and their queries towards Avenicci…

I’m sure the poor man has torn out the rest of his hair in frustration from the excess activity.
